  1. Smartly Embrace Artificial Intelligence - AI: OK, so there is actually no way around the topic! AI has taken the world by storm and established itself as a must for any self-respecting entrepreneur. But how to use AI and when to incorporate it in your business so that it can positively impact it, is what you need to determine. Start by doing your research. Talk with friends about the latest technologies and how they are using them for work.  Subscribe to newsletters or watch YouTube Videos, and follow experts and influencers. Research trends every once in a while; there is no need to become obsessed - you will always find what you are looking for (unless, of course, your business solely relies on the latest advances in AI). Determine what can be helpful to you, then think about the road map you want to follow. If you do not have the time, the energy, or the will to invest in becoming more familiar with the latest advancements in technology, then I advise you to find your tribe! (more on that next).

  2. Partner with The Right People: As we have already established, nowadays, anyone can use AI to create everything from long-form articles to videos, reels, and e-books. The trick? Work with someone who will get inspired by AI to create content that is specific to your brand so that you can differentiate your business from the competition. Although well-informed, AI articles and content are still very generic. Copying and pasting content from AI without editing it first, will make your brand feel unauthentic. Your audience can see right through the cr*p which can have catastrophic consequences on your business authenticity. In my line of work, I use AI as an assistant that helps me shortcut a few of my tasks and reduces the hours I spend on research. However, I still do most of the work myself because I have found that every business has complex needs. Therefore, tailoring strategies and content that will help my clients achieve their objectives is a delicate work that needs time, commitment, and a pattern of knowledge AI does not know how to do (yet). If you have doubts about the abilities of the people you want to partner with, ask them to show you their previous work - it can be a clear indicator of their capabilities.

  3. Apply Mindful Marketing Practices: In recent years, societies worldwide started shifting towards mindfulness, with businesses following closely. Many companies are now applying mindful business strategies (such as marketing) and ethical practices centered around transparency and sustainability. Mindful marketing is about understanding your needs, the needs of your business, and the needs of your customers so you can ensure the long-term well-being of everyone involved as well as the longevity of your brand. Whether you are selling products or services that will positively change the lives of your customers, or simply add a little moment of pleasure to their day, it is important to address their needs appropriately, focus on the authenticity of your brand, and be genuine and transparent in your communication. This will allow you to provide your audience with the value they are craving. It will also enhance your brand’s reputation, increase your customers’ loyalty, and improve your engagement while making a positive impact on society. And what more to ask for as an entrepreneur, right?

  4. Understand Yourself and Your Business: Every once in a while, a new trend pops up, whether in marketing, content, or life and business in general. Nowadays, the latest content craze centers around ephemeral content, or in other words, short-lived content - such as Instagram Stories and short TikTok videos (and who hasn’t been hooked on those?). This creates a false sense of urgency, keeping people returning for more. However, ephemeral content has many advantages and disadvantages. Although it is a great way to grab attention, audiences who usually consume it might keep scrolling and never visit your page. Also, do not be fooled; as with everything on the internet, these videos take time and planning. Therefore, I advise you to use this strategy carefully; either mix it with other types of long-form content or concentrate on finding the middle ground between what your audience likes, what is trending, and what you as a business owner, can offer them while still growing your business.

  5. Leverage Voice Search Optimization: I have noticed recently, that many brands are prioritizing both voice search optimization and content accessibility for individuals with disabilities. The future is about creating a more inclusive environment whether online or offline, and voice search optimization along with content accessibility are helpful solutions for both users and businesses. These initiatives have proven to improve user satisfaction and engagement, as well as align with the ethical values of brands and their consumers, placing them at the forefront of the inclusivity movement. So, if you have not yet optimized your content for voice search, I advise you to start digging into the topic and setting a proper plan that will allow you to do so, as search engine platforms such as Google have started pushing content optimized for voice search.
